Left the marina at Prescott and made our way down the river toward Montreal. Pics below. There were several locks on the Saint Lawrence--some run by the Canadians and two run by the US. Hot, hot, hot. We travelled a thousand miles at a fast run pace to get here to escape the heat. Didn't work. Heat wave in Prescott. Stayed in Prescott. Walked around town. Prescott is a great little town. We met the nicest people. In fact, everyone there was the nicest people. One of the people we met at the dock (thanks Kelly) offered to and did take Stacey to the grocery store. On the way through the Thousand Islands we learned that no island is too big or too small for a house. All of the islands, except some of those in the park system, had a house or houses. So, we made it to Canada today. Initially anchored out in the Thousand Islands. Called CBP, got "invited" to go to the nearest marina. That's all I am allowed to say about that. Walked around town after we met a nice police dog and two very nice Canadian Border Patrol officers, who met us at the boat on the Customs dock. Dog got to "tour" our boat." CBP officer gave us directions to the nearest "pharmacy." Had a nice walk-about in Gananoque. Lovely little town. Bought

Anchored out in Clayton Harbor. Dinghied to municipal dock by the antique boat museum. Had a crap lunch at a local restaurant/pub. Bad spinach salad and barbecue sandwich that seemed like it was from a convenience store vending machine. The antique boat museum is a big deal and great museum if you like boats. Old boat. Took the dinghy ashore in Sacketts Harbor. Docked at the municipal dock. Walked to breakfast- which was okay stuffed French toast and an omelet. Spent a quiet night at anchor - grilled fish, brussels and Rodney's new favorite way to roast potatoes on the grill...tackled hoisting the dink back onto the boat prior to setting out in the am. Pretty day, though towards time to dock at the Albany Yacht Club the wind picked up - Cap did a nice job getting us onto the fuel dock, off the fuel dock and onto the other dock. Early start to make Portsmouth, VA from Coinjock, NC. More ICW. I'm supposed to identify myself as distinct from Cap'n by stating, "Stacey here." Made it to Coinjock Marina today. Interesting dinner conversation times 2. One exceptionally rude encounter and one very supportive encounter.
