Hot, hot, hot. We travelled a thousand miles at a fast run pace to get here to escape the heat. Didn't work. Heat wave in Prescott. Stayed in Prescott. Walked around town. Had blueberry pancakes and a vegetable omelet with ham and cheese at a local diner called Bobby's. Great food. Walked around the pop-up festival area. Had tacos, a beer, and gelato from three different trucks. The tacos and the beer were great. The gelato--meh. The town was holding a dog distance jumping contest. The owners threw toys into the pool and the dog's "job" was to jump are far as s/he could to get the toy. The winner was something like 27 feet (not the dog, the jump). Nice stay at Prescott except the power did not work at the marina. Learned that the power had been a problem for years, so don't be a transient at the Prescott marina.
