We were planning to leave in mid-May. Life and all. Left New Bern on Saturday June 6, 2026. Funny story, that. We were planning to leave on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, but I was in the hospital with a raging infection in my left arm. Cause: went to dermatologist on Monday, June 1, 2026 to have a thingy removed from my wrist and had a rapidly expanding infection by Tuesday.

Anyway, we left on Saturday with a plan to make time to get to the Hudson River.
